Award for our commitment to environmental and climate protection

The visit by Bavaria’s Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber to our site in Krumme Fohre officially recognised our commitment to environmental and resource protection. Together with our sister company Richter Steuerungstechnik and under the umbrella of inuwat AG, we consistently pursue the goal of combining economic activity with sustainability, environmental awareness and the responsible use of resources.

On 26 February, we were delighted to host a special event in Krumme Fohre: Bavaria’s Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber presented the official certificates of participation in the Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact to inuwat AG and its subsidiaries W.E.T. Wasser Energie Technologie GmbH and Richter Steuerungstechnik GmbH.

Within the inuwat Group, we have been working alongside Richter Steuerungstechnik for many years to promote sustainable technologies and protect natural resources. A particular focus is placed on the responsible use of water and energy – two of the most important resources for our future. We make an active contribution to this through innovative solutions in the fields of water treatment, water recycling and energy-efficient technologies.

The Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact is a voluntary partnership between the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian business community. Participating companies commit to additional measures in environmental and climate protection – for example, in the areas of energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies, recycling or sustainable mobility. Participation is valid for a period of three years and can be extended thereafter.

Another important step on our journey towards greater sustainability was taken right at the start of the year: in January 2026, our group of companies was successfully certified to DIN EN ISO 14001. This internationally recognised standard stands for systematic environmental management. Among other things, it encompasses a clearly structured environmental organisation, defined environmental objectives and concrete measures for the continuous improvement of environmental performance – for example, in terms of energy savings, increasing energy efficiency, reducing CO₂ emissions or the careful use of resources.

For us, sustainability is far more than just a concept on paper. It is an integral part of our corporate culture and shapes our daily actions. It provides us with direction and motivates us as a team to work together towards a sustainable and ‘inuwative’ future.
